UK bookmaker suspends betting on a Greek euro exit

Do you wish to have a flutter on the possibility of Greece exiting Euro? It is too late already. There has been a rush in bets which has prompted Ladbrokes- Britain’s second-largest bookmarker, to postpone betting following a repeatedly cutting the odds on the country’s possibility to exit the currency union.

This speculation comes a few days after Greece leaders failed to form one government. This failure by the country’s leaders renewed the assumption that the country could be leaving the Euro by the end of this year.

Ladbroke’s spokesman admitted that they have been cutting odds in the last couple of days adding that a suspension was the only way out.

He also promised that the moment they will receive positive news they will definitely open the reserve again.

If you are sure that Greece will be out of the Euro by the end of the year then Ladbrokes is giving odds, which are expected to give customers 33 times more than their initial stake.

Ladbrokes, which owns about 2,100 shops around Britain, is giving odds of 5 or 6 that the currency union will collapse by late 2015. They also have 4/1 odds on the possibility of two states leaving the union by the end of 2012.
